Getting Here

Madarao is one of the most accessible alpine areas in Japan with a direct Shinkansen line from Tokyo to Ilyama, just a 20min drive from Madarao.

If choosing between Tokyo airports, we recommend flying into Haneda. We recommend getting a QR code from Visit Japan Web prior to arrival in Japan to speed up the customs process.

Seasonal Services: Direct transfers from Haneda/Narita airports are available through Nagano Snow Shuttles. This is likely the easiest option, taking around 4-5 hours. Get dropped off at Madarao Kogen Hotel. If you advise us beforehand, we will pick you up from here.
